What happens with my data?

Steuerbot never shares your data with third parties, except for the tax office.

We are aware that tax returns involve highly sensitive data. That is why the security of your data is our top priority. Of course, your privacy is also very important to us, so we would like to give you a little insight into how we handle your data:

We only store your data so that we can submit your tax return to the tax office digitally. We are then obliged to store your data for 5 years in case of queries from the tax office. By storing your data, your tax return will be even faster next year thanks to data transfer with Steuerbot!
We strictly adhere to the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
In addition, we only transfer all data via encrypted HTTPS/SSL connections. This means that your data remains confidential during transmission.
We are ELSTER-compliant! We only transfer your data to the tax office via the official ELSTER interface, in accordance with the Tax Data Transmission Ordinance (StDÜV).
All our servers are located in Germany!
Your email address will only be used to provide you with valuable tips for your tax return or to announce launch dates for new features in the app.
