Why did my payment fail?
There can be various reasons for this. For example, if you did not specify a checking account for payment, but a savings or call money account, a direct debit cannot be executed and the payment will fail.
With some banks, such as N26, you have to manually approve the direct debit. If you overlook the notification, this will also result in an error.
And, of course, it is also possible that your account may be temporarily overdrawn.
How will I know if the payment fails?
You will be notified by email as soon as the payment has failed. This email will contain instructions on how to settle the amount.
